This is my first post on my new blog. I have always wanted to create this business and now I am taking the first steps in creating it. I originally wanted to get some land and build a complete self sufficient home on it. I have no skills and not much knowledge, but I wanted to learn as I went. Although I still want to do that one day hopefully, I want to now focus on making my existing house self sufficient. Starting with heating, then electricity and then water, the first goal is to pay zero bills for energy and water.
Another thing I want to do is start a new business selling the equipment that I will need myself so other people can use this as a guide to doing the same thing. The plan is to replace the bills with paying off loans for this equipment and hopefully the loans will be cheaper than the bills. I also want to be as healthy as possible and take and sell nutrition supplements, and health food. Selling the same things that I take myself or would like to take.
Even better would be able to produce these foods myself and work out the cheapest way to be as healthy as possible.
The starting point is to take advantage of government grants for a heat pump whilst they are still available. So the first step will be to work out if it worth the money. So today I am going to make an energy calculator for the website that will calculate accurately exactly how much energy it takes to heat my house.
The main reason I am thinking about getting a heat pump now is because some of them double as an air conditioning unit, it has been too hot lately and air conditioning would be ideal. I need to look into this too.
