Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12/9/26

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Homestead Project website at https://homesteadproject.co.uk.

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before placing an order. By placing an order through our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About Homestead Project

This website and online shop are operated under the trading name Homestead Project.

Legal business name: Homestead Project

Trading name: Homestead Project

Business address: Homestead Project, 8 Hoopers Close, Totnes, TQ9 6GR

Email: info@homesteadproject.co.uk

2. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions, together with our:

  • Privacy Policy;
  • Delivery Information; and
  • Returns & Refunds policy

form the basis on which we supply products purchased through our online shop.

Where a particular product has additional information or conditions displayed on its product page, those details will also apply to that purchase.

3. Products

We aim to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications and prices displayed on our website are accurate.

However, colours and appearance may vary depending on your device, screen settings, lighting and the nature of the product.

Some products are naturally variable. Where this is relevant, individual product descriptions will explain any variations that you should reasonably expect.

We reserve the right to correct genuine errors in product descriptions, specifications or pricing.

4. Product Availability

Products are subject to availability.

Displaying a product on our website does not guarantee that it will remain available.

If we are unable to supply a product that you have ordered, we will contact you and, where appropriate, offer a suitable alternative or provide a refund.

We will not substitute a different product without your agreement where doing so would materially change what you ordered.

5. Prices

All prices displayed on our website are in GBP / £.

“Our prices include VAT where applicable.”

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed before you complete your order.

We may change prices from time to time, but a price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted, except where the price displayed was clearly an obvious error.

6. Placing an Order

You can place an order by following the ordering process on our website.

Before submitting your order, you will have an opportunity to review the products, quantities, delivery information and total price.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide when placing an order is accurate.

When you submit an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

7. Order Confirmation

After placing an order, you will normally receive an email acknowledging receipt of your order.

This acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

A contract for the supply of the products is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted.

We reserve the right to decline an order where, for example:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • there is an obvious pricing or product description error;
  • we are unable to obtain the product from our supplier;
  • we suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity; or
  • there is another legitimate reason why we cannot fulfil the order.

If we decline an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the affected order.

8. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

“We currently accept payments by credit and debit card through Stripe and payments through PayPal.”

Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.

We do not normally have access to your full payment-card details. Payments are processed by the relevant payment provider in accordance with its own terms and privacy arrangements.

9. Delivery

Our delivery arrangements are explained in our Delivery Information page.

Delivery times are estimates unless we specifically state that a particular delivery date is guaranteed.

Some products may be dispatched directly by our suppliers or fulfilment partners.

Where this happens, products from the same order may arrive separately.

The delivery address supplied when placing your order must be accurate.

If you provide an incorrect delivery address, please contact us immediately at info@homesteadproject.co.uk.

10. Products Supplied by Fulfilment Partners

Some products sold through the Homestead Project shop may be supplied and dispatched directly by third-party suppliers or fulfilment partners.

This does not change your contract with Homestead Project.

We remain responsible for dealing with you regarding your order and your statutory consumer rights.

The supplier or fulfilment partner may be responsible for physically dispatching the goods and handling returns on our behalf.

11. Returns and Cancellation

Your rights to cancel an online purchase and return goods are explained in our Returns & Refunds policy.

For most products purchased online, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods.

If you wish to return an item, you must contact us before sending it back.

This is particularly important because different products may have different return addresses depending on the supplier or fulfilment partner responsible for that product.

We will provide you with the correct return instructions and return address.

Please do not send a return to our business address, your product’s delivery address, or any other address unless we have specifically provided it to you as the return address for that item.

For change-of-mind returns, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

Further information is provided in our Returns & Refunds policy.

12. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If goods are faulty, damaged, defective, not as described or the wrong goods have been supplied, please contact us at info@homesteadproject.co.uk.

Please contact us before returning the goods so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.

Your statutory consumer rights apply to faulty, defective, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or restricts those rights.

13. Refunds

Where you are entitled to a refund, we will normally refund the payment using the same payment method that you used for the original purchase, unless another arrangement has been agreed.

Refunds will be made within the period required by applicable consumer law.

Further information about refunds is provided in our Returns & Refunds policy.

14. Products That Cannot Be Cancelled

Certain types of product may be excluded from the normal statutory cancellation rights where an applicable legal exception applies.

Where a product is subject to such an exception, this will be explained on the relevant product page or before you place your order, where required.

Your statutory rights regarding faulty, defective or misdescribed goods are not affected.

15. Personalised or Made-to-Order Products

[DELETE THIS SECTION IF YOU WILL NOT SELL PERSONALised OR MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTS.]

Where a product is made specifically to your requirements or is personalised, it may be excluded from the normal 14-day cancellation right where permitted by law.

Any applicable restrictions will be explained on the relevant product page before you place your order.

16. Website Content

The content of the Homestead Project website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, videos and other material, is owned by or licensed to Homestead Project unless otherwise stated.

You may view and use the website for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute or commercially exploit website content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

17. Website Availability

We aim to keep the Homestead Project website available and functioning correctly, but we cannot guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors.

We may occasionally need to suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security, updates or other operational reasons.

18. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights or our liability for matters that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to the above, we are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or that arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

19. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

These may include, for example:

  • severe weather;
  • transport disruption;
  • strikes;
  • supply-chain disruption;
  • significant technical failures;
  • natural disasters; or
  • other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where such circumstances affect your order, we will take reasonable steps to keep you informed.

20. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and the circumstances in which it may be shared with third parties such as payment providers, delivery companies and fulfilment partners.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version that applies to your purchase will be the version in force when your order is accepted.

The date at the top of this page will indicate when the Terms & Conditions were last updated.

22. Complaints

If you have a complaint about a product or service, please contact us first at:

info@homesteadproject.co.uk

Please provide your order number and explain the nature of the problem.

We will consider your complaint and aim to resolve it fairly and promptly.

23. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of [England and Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland – SELECT ONE].

If you are a consumer, you will also retain any mandatory rights and protections provided to you by the law that applies to your circumstances.
